Sure, I suspect those people who care about libraries getting as much
use as possible would be OK with using the LGPL2 (that is the default
option, after all).  What's more interestig to me is whether
copyleft-next will be compatible with [L]GPL[23], since the
incompatibility between GPL3 and LGPL2 has certainly caused problems
(such as the grub example that I've cited).
